This is from today's Des Moines Register.

Hope he gets his ass pancaked about 20 times tomorrow, or has AB blow him up and run him over on a sweep.

What a punk. Can't believe Tubby let that kid get away. He'd fit in well at AU.

Well if he meant two words why did he use both fingers? Isn't that like a double? Oh well...

    Two words for Roth:

    Scoreboard beotch!

Well one can hope anyways. ;)

Roth is one of those guys that you cannot stand unless he is on your team. Roth is the team goofball, but he's OUR goofball. I knew Ferentz wouldn't stand for this, and he did not. He made Roth issue a public apology through the press.

Roth can be very funny, at times, and isn't afraid of a little self-depricating humor.

Here's to a great game today!!!

Too late, amigo. The team heard about it. An apology his coach forced him to make will be ignored.

There will be some helmet-knockin' today!

I don't think the apology was necessarily directed to the team. He made the gesture in front of a crowd of 15,000 plus reporters, so I don't think there was any doubt that the Tigers would hear about it. His apology was to aknowledge that he had made a mistake. I don't think he expected a group hug with the Tiger football team, nor do I think he is particularly concerned about repercussions on the field. It's not like the opposing tackles have been playing patty-cake with him the past four years.

WAFB showed the video of this incident. He was behind a podium speaking then he said it and extended his two fingers to the crowd as he said it. What a jerk. Can't wait to see him get knocked off his feet.
