Yeah, no doubt. That was scary for a moment. Definitely a late hit and should've been called. I have a hard time believing our guy ntentionally went for the back of the head or neck, but it sure looked like it on the replay. Thank God he wasn't seriously injured.
I was also disappointed in Murphy for that hit; it was dirty, and I don't want us playing like we're Miami, or hey, Notre Dame. I'm sure it will be addressed. Our defense lays down some nasty hits, but I want them to be clean. As for the Gamecocks, you guys were getting beaten clearly in the 3rd quarter, but you never gave up and became much more competitive in the 4th quarter. I truly believe you guys are for real, though there are a few weaknesses that I know Spurrier will want to address. And do your fans feel like I do--that Smelly has far more upside than Mitchell?
lol yea without a doubt...for some reason people just dont like Blake...I dont know why since he is the ONLY QB in USC history to beat UF, UT, UGA, and Clemson in his career. I guess theres the feeling that if Blake cant be more consistent than this in his 5th year, third under Spurrier, then he never will...thats why I think everyone is happy that Smelley is starting next week.
