You know we had some immensly inflated ego's last year. I think that was just part of it though. Last years defense while rated highly but had some serious flaws. Our def. secondary was just not good. We had to play 10 yards off the receivers last year just to keep from being ran by. I thought going into last year that our secondary would have cost us a game during the regular season but it didn't happen. It almost did against Michigan and most definitely did against Florida. They picked us apart with the short stuff last year. We are much more solid in the secondary this year.
I agree w/ that. Pelini should have been hired by them when Solich was fired. I wish him well as another Buckeye alumni and Ohioan who is getting a chance to be a Head Coach at a big time D 1A program. I also congratulate you guys for winning your conference title game & withstanding all the injuries you all had. I hope to see a great game.
welcome to the board. stick around and post frequently. we enjoy the perspective rival fans bring to the board. :geauxtige
If Pelini leaves immediately, which IMHO, would be best for all, rumor has his duties being shared by defensive backfield coach Doug Mallory and linebacker coach Brad Peveto. But I have not seen anything "official." Welcome to the board!!!
Welcome aboard nut! I love the mindset of all great mid-westerners which is why I ask you to define some buckeye reasoning. I work in a small lake of buckeye fans here on the left coast and have been told directly and without remorse by them all why LSU does not deserve to play the men in red for the NC. I point out the wallpaper and the fact that they are not sporting colors to even pose such a challenging question, and they go away. My question to you is do you believe we deserve to be or not to be? WE have no doubt of our presence and to us there is no challenge to that kind of reasoning, however I only hear it from the buckeye reps yet everyone else wants to know where to get their P&G sweatshirt! I personally look forward to the game as it has all of the makings to be probably the best played match up for the overall season. Too much talent on both sides to have a blow out and really no blowout is fun to watch. This game will be a man eater and provide for more stitches and ice packs then the dome can handle. The lines and the coaching will control the outcome. Do know when you walk away from the Dome in Jan. that like us or leave us, win or lose your boys will walk away with P&G from the bruising which shall occur through this match up. It is going to be a mule kick kind of day. Thanks- :champs: :geaux:
Yes I think you guys deserve to be in. This has been a pretty screwy football season and it is odd that one and two loss teams are getting in. We have one loss but with a poor schedule and you guys have two losses but have probably the toughest schedule of all the two loss teams. So I don't know how any reasonable person can say that LSU doesn't deserve it yet OSU does. In my opinion OSU's 1 loss = LSU 2. Not just saying that because I am on your board either.
Hey, while we're all patting each other on the back... congrats to both sides. I hope to see a great game. I can't really think of any teams with any more right to be there. Both conference champs, both great records. Here's (hoisting a beer) to a great game! BHD
Thanks, every school has idiot fans. I personally think Pelini should leave immediately, he has recruiting issues and he wouldn't have the time for both teams.
