WV fans You can't boooo visiting teams when they have players fallen. If you think they have faked a injury to slow down the pace of the game how could you know?? What if a kid has a broken leg or broken back ? Think about how that looks to the nation as you and your coach act like the end of the world has happen when a 19 year old is laying out on the field and the entire stadium is boooing ! really WV really That is what I take from the game and at LSU in my 40 years of going to Tiger games I have never seen this - NEVER. You are coming hear to tell me that we played a great game but after watching your coach on the sideline and hearing all the boos ! no class your coach has no class and the fans in the stands have no class. You are posting a class like post but how can it replace what you showed me on Sat night. My only hope is that we never play WV again in BoingTown again. Move on with your second rate school full of hicks and enjoy your life in a Hickland.
I see many similarities between lsu and wvu. I also see glaring diffrences. We are both a very passionate fanbase. We both have to deal with steriotypes laid upon us by mostly coastal America. We both love our team and state to almost a fault. We both have to go that extra mile to get respect in the press that other teams get for just their name( Texas, USC w, bama, notre dame). We both play a physical brand or football though a little diffrent style. I'm sure that as at lsu, there are some small % of people that give the majority a bad name. We had people run into your school and disrupt your class taunting kids trying to educate themselves. We have had some dumbasz's throw piss ballons on people. That's where the similarities end. We don't try and hurt other people. We may try and taunt a little but throwing full cans of beer at people. Come on. Throwing bricks through windows of passing cars, wow. Pulling people out their cars and beating them half to death in front of their pregnant wife and kids, amazing. Booing kids on the field, that risk their health for our entertainment , classless. I feel bad for good people like you. We deal with the bad apples too but our bad apples don't hurt anyone. Your youth learned how to act this way from adults. The young generation doing this is basically lost. Maybe you can start , as a state, teaching some sportsmanship to the young kids in school, thus changing the mindset of their generation away from violence directed at outsiders. There is nothing wrong with friendly taunting but everything wrong with violent acts that hurt people. Think about it. Beating a man down in front of his pregnant wife and kids. If that would have been me they were trying to pull out of the vehicle, I would have shot all of them in self defense. There is no excuse for violence at a football GAME.
Hey man, take it easy. This guy came on here doing the right thing, and probably trying to make up for some of the terrible booing that ensued when our players went down. He can't control the entire WVU fanbase.
I agree. His post of total class, and just like I've read tirade after tirade from opposing fans (mostly AU and then OU after the '03 BCSNCG) about LSU fans, obviously all WVU fans are not like those that were booing Saturday night. I wasn't too high on our fanbase last season when they were booing our own players (most noteably JJ). So, let's not paint this fan with such a broad brush.
I am pulling for WV to win every remaining game by large margins. Unlike Glenn Dildeaux, I give Geno Smith, his fine receivers and a good Offensive Line credit for prolific passing yardage numbers and a close game.
Red and Tiger in Tx are right. This guy comes to our site after a loss, congratulates us and wishes us well and his reward for his trouble is an undeserved crummy response. He is probably completely embarrassed at the way his school is being represented by a few knuckle heads. Much the same way I was embarrassed when our fans tumped over a port o can with a Georgia administrator in it in '03. I know we have some of our fans who were treated horribly, but my wife and I were at the game Saturday night and were treated very well by their fan base. Thanks GRC WVU Fan for your comments. Best of luck the rest of way.
