I would like to congratulate Rice for winning their first championship in school history. The Rice baseball program has really developed into a fine one. The players gave it their all and won it for Wayne Graham. Graham was the architect of a number of championships at San Jacinto College before taking over the healm at Rice University. The talent that was assembled on that ballclub is very impressive. They had at least four players drafted and could possibly have three first round draft picks next year.
Way to go rice. Enjoy our trophy, we will come by in a bit (around this time next year) to pick it up.
Screw Rice. All the Rice fans I met were very much like Tulane fans. But they were more like Tulane fans that mated with UT-Austin fans. The most classless buggers ever. Screw Rice.
Enjoy it but take good care of it. I would hate to see it scratched or dirty when you hand it over to us next year.
Not so fast T.T. All 3 Rice starters are back next season. These guys shut us out for 18 Super Regional innings as FRESHMEN. The E-Boos (Richdog will know what that means) will be tough to beat next season.
I am glad to see Rice win because I hate Stanford so much. Everyone who I know that went to Omaha in 2000 said that Stanford fans were arrogent, punks before the Championship game.
