I warn people never to carry their pet if they are carrying contraband. If cops decide to go into your car, it exposes your pet to danger if they bark. Power tripping cops will shoot them. Worse, if they arrest you, they don't give a damn about the dog. They can leave it in the car, shoot it, call the pound, or turn it loose and say it escaped. Never give them this power.
