We've run several to Murphy this year, with little success. Also had a few result in a throwaway or sack. Charles Scott ran plenty of middle screens during his career as well, with very positive results. So yes, Crowton has these in his playbook.
A little off topic, but I really wonder about the option pass to Ford. Was that designed as part of that option or just plain luck? I have often thought that a little shuttle pass to Shep would work great, the way the linebackers rush up when JJ takes off. If this occurs on Sat I am taking full credit. Unless it's picked off!
