Dad? is that you? Because you sure do sound like the guy I was watching the game with.

I guess post count doesn't equal support for your team...hey USC won tonight, Lids might be having a sale on some of their headwear.

I tend to agree, however our secondary is soo young, especially at corner, but they have the potential to be the best in football before all's said and done. What's troubling to me is how great our D-Line is supposed to be, yet we aren't getting any pressure on the QB. Even when we blitz, they don't seem to be disguised too well and are easily picked up. At first, I thought we may have been saving some of the more intricate ones for this game, but I guess not. I predict that if it continues, Miles will hire a proven DC for next year.

Dude, all you're doing is making post after post of the "sky is falling" crap. We got our azzes kicked but you can count those kind of losses in the Miles tenure on a couple of fingers. Thats better than almost any team can claim in that time period.

How we respond to this is more important then the game we just lost. Comparing Miles to Dumbnardo is stupid. Take a chill pill and got to bed.
  5. Re: Could we look back on this loss and say that's the day Les Miles star started to

The problem is you just can't line up and plow straight ahead just because you think you're better than the guy on the other side of the LOS. It's all about scheme, and I think our scheme stinks at this point. It's ineffective, at the least.

Here's to hoping this is a blip on the radar.

As bhelm posted earlier, it surely didn't turn out to be the end of the world when Georgia played a flawless game against us offensively in a 41-17 route. Greene could do no wrong that afternoon.

    Exactly my friend!
  7. Re: Could we look back on this loss and say that's the day Les Miles star started to

It was as if someone gave our defensive gameplan to Florida.

Like taking candy from a baby.

    Definitely disconcerting.

Bingo, we have to realize we have a young QB no mattter who is in, and we can't telegraph our offense. I think/hope we grow up from this game and I think the team will. A loss like this leaves a nasty tastes in everyones mouth and I suspect that it will be corrected really soon. :thumb:

  9. Re: Could we look back on this loss and say that's the day Les Miles star started to

I don't know what it means but the last time we gave up fifty points was about twelve years ago. I guess that was one of Dinardo's best years. We won ten games that season.
I'm concerned because our defense, many times, seems to have problems understanding the lineup for the defense called. We may be young but every starter on defense has been in the system at least a couple of years. I don't see any intensity and they seem unsure of their assignments.

One thing I took from this game was the last TD we got. Lee tried so hard to force a flare pass to the RB/WR on the right side of the field, saw 4 or 5 Florida players out there, and he pulled back the ball and threw a dart to Dickson over the middle of the field for a TD.

    Baby steps.

Light bulb hopefully is coming on for Lee based on that one play.

There's hope. There's lots of hope.
