The way I understand it, that is position coach salary. DC/OC's make substantially more..up to and over the million range depending on the same factors.

Actually on the Dolphin website, Edwards named Linebacker coach some else(can't remember name) named DC. WM will not be LB or DC in Miami as per Saturday's announcement, he and Travis Jones being referred to as defensive assistants.

Look for Saban to go after Patriots LB coach Dean Pees for DC.

Obviously, I only know of 2 coordinator salaries, and they're both of the Patriots. Weis (well....ND now) makes $500K as OC of the Patriots--ditto for DC Romeo Crennell. Believe it or not, Weis and Crennell aren't the highest paid coordinators out there, but they're not the lowest either.

Not if Belichick has anything to say about it. I believe Patriots DC, Romeo Crennell is the leading candidate for the Cleveland job. And if he leaves, speculation is that Belichick will promote from within....and if that's the case, I doubt Belichick would be interested in letting one of his current coaches leave for a division rival--especially one coached by Saban.

On the official Fin website George Edwards is a defensive assistant and Bob Sanders is the LB coach and there is no DC listed yet, Muschamp is also listed as a defensive assistant.

It seems LSU is turning into Notre Dame on the DC hire.

LSU wins with Defense. Miles is taking no chances. He's going to wait until he gets a good one.
