I disagree. He threw the ball 58 times in the rain and didn't throw a pick. He was also sacked 6 times and hit and hurried countless other times, yet no turnovers. He stood in the face of a relentless pass rush and made the throws. I still think Brees is better, but the G-men have the better defense. That's why they're in the bowl and the Saints are done.

    I agree, Eli played great.

Additionally, when the Saints beat NYG earlier in the season, to be fair, they were beat up on defense. The way that game played out doesn't translate to a guaranteed win for the Saints. Maybe the Saints would have still won, but the Giants would have been healthier on defense and that would have likely made a big difference.

He threw up no less than 15 balls that had an opportunity to be picked, he just got lucky they were thrown so poorly that no one was able to get to it.

    He was a hot mess.

Yeah, they said those exact words about Detroit's vaunted D-line and their safety being back healthty and blah blah blah.

    626 yards later................

    Saints 48
    Giants 27

I just love a rematch. Think I'll take the hunter. I just can't figure out who that is.

At least these teams earned it without the help of ESPN. :D

Three weeks after we lost to the 49ers, and I really didn't get mad about it until just now. Because I just watched the '09 highlight DVD. Its the eve of Super Bowl XLVI, and we should be there right now! Dammit!!!

Anyone hear Brandon Jacobs post game on the radio? He said "we blew out Atlanta, we blew out Green Bay, then New Orleans lost which is what we were hoping for, not that we are scared we just didn't want to play them...."

The Saints were a much better team than either the Giants or Patriots.

Given the fact that Gronkowski was useless in the Super Bowl, our one achilles heel of covering a stud TE would have been removed. Saints would have won by 2 TDs.

Couldn't agree more. Since the title of this thread is 'Cudda, Shudda, Wudda', if we wudda beat SF, we would have our 2nd Lombardi in 2 years and be celebrating AGAIN in the streets of N.O. Don't think the team doesn't know this either.

That said, is Loomis would get off his A$$ and sign Drew already, we should be one of the odds on favorites and hopefully be the first team to play the SB in their home city. Can you imagine how EPIC that would be? I would find a way to get a ticket to that game, even if it meant mortgaging my house.
