Crowton's got a lot of work to do. He's never had anywhere close to this kind of talent on a football field at the same time. He's going to have to find that good balance of putting people in the right places at the right times to maximize their effectiveness. Good luck Mr. Crowton. I actually envy the position you're in.
Yep! I knew betta but there won't be any "L's" it's going to be all "W's" from now on! :thumb:
He put up 400 yrds a game at BYU against some decent defenses. If you took the best players off of those teams none of the would crack the three deep at LSU. I just hope that he is given full offensive authority. Can you imagine the nightmares this will cause for opposing DC's? Who do you cover? What do you focus on to slow down these guys? I know I will definitely be at the spring game/practice to check this out.
I know everyone is excited about both the prospects of Crowton as OC and the quality and depth of talent we have at LSU, but I really don't know if we fully grasp the synergistic effects of such a marriage. We're finally in position to argue over which side of the ball is better. And I think our kicking game will be in the best shape its been in a long while when these 2 young men we recruited get in the flow of things. All 3 aspects of this team appear to be in such fantastic shape for years to come.
Well, you really don't worry about that as an OC. Sure in blowouts you try to get everyone some work/touches, but the OC won't have that as part of his gameplan heading into tough games. The position coaches will be responsible for handling the bruised ego's of players who don't see as much action as they would like.
