What's hilarious is Cruz is teaming up with Kasich to stop Trump, but Kasich's whole deal is to get to the convention floor with a chance at a 2nd or 3rd or 15th ballot and snatch it away from both Trump and Cruz.

Politics really do make strange bedfellows.

So basically Kasich won't show up in Indiana and hope to give Cruz the push he needs to steal away the state from Trump (latest poll shows Trump up by 8 points over Cruz).

The other two states using this same strategy are Oregon and New Mexico (Cruz won't show up there and try to allow Kasich to win).

Doesn't matter at this point imo. The Republican party can say all they want that they will have a contested convention and come out of it with Kasich or some other, yet to be named, candidate (because they ain't letting Cruz have it....no way) but truth be told they know that if Trump comes in with a strong delegate lead and an even stronger popular vote lead they risk losing the entire party. This is a done deal. Now, for the sake of good political theater I would love a contested convention with drama aplenty but it just ain't happening.

I've been following the predictions closely of the remaining states, and right now as it stands Trump will be just under or just over the 1200 mark. His chance of getting to 1237 are probably at about 20 % right now. But he'll definitely be north of 1150. The only question is how close to 1237 will be be. And if he crushes it in Pennsylvania tomorrow (and he will), then the 54 of 71 delegates who aren't bound will be forced to all go to Trump and the issue of a contested convention will be dead in it's tracks. His chance of being within 54 of 1237 are probably about 80 %.

I'm starting to hate Kasich with his stupid interview eating breakfast and acting stupid by saying "Collusion? What's collusion? Does he (the person who asked) even know what that is?

If Trump even gets within a hundred delegates of 1237 they will not be able to take it from him. I've seen the opinion shared on several news shows across the political spectrum. Doing so would require overturning the will of the people who have voted during the entire process and likely shatter the party. Hate him or not the establishment will have to play nice or risk losing it all. Trump will be the nominee. Write it down and chalk it up.

This tactic has already blown up in their collective faces tonight with Trump having landslide victories nearing or above 60 % in all 5 states tonight.

Not saying the tactic was meant to do anything in tonight's elections, but the margins of victory in recent polls were nowhere near what is happening for Trump. The people have spoken.

    67 % in RI (now 64 %)
    62 % in PA (now 57 %)
    60 % in CT (now 58 %)
    63 % in MD (now 55 %)
    63 % in DE (now 61 %)

Looks like between 105 and 110 of the 118 delegates, and the 54 unbound in PA being forced on first ballot to vote Trump. So between 159 to 164 of the 172 at stake tonight.

He is winning by an average of just under 60 % of the vote across the 5 states. That's a phenomenal night.

Current delegate count awarded to Trump is 105 of 118. Looks like it will end up either 108 or 111, depending on one district in Maryland.

Which puts Trump in the 960 delegate count area.

Needs roughly 277 of the 502 remaining delegates to get to 1237 without any help from unbound delegates.
