Cal State Fullerton in spite of being from the "Lil West" conferrence has given all of the big boys from the Pac 10 far more than they wanted. They have squeaked by with wins and have also blown out some pretty good teams. The game friday looks like it will come down to which team can solve the riddle of the other team's starting pitcher. If Bumstead and LSU's bats bring their A game, and Smokes"s guys have their minds right, then we'll advance, but a trip to CSF's baseball homepage is a very sobering experience. These guys may not hit a ton of homeruns but they manufacture lots of runs anyway and their pithers have shut down some pretty potent teams thus far this season. I hear I heard that Cal State is pretty fast and run a lot. I hear a majority of their runs are manufactured thru stealing bases.
