Yeah, where in NOLA are you? We were going to come down in September to do some work on our house (in Lakeview). I hope we have a house to work on. Or that the work we do on it isn't more than originally planned!

Man, I'm watching the live feed on WWL and it's giving me chills...and I'm in Houston these days. Looking more and more like this may be that worst case scenario we've heard about for so long.

    Those satellite pics. Wow.

MarineTiger, from one Tiger to another, I wish you'd leave with your family, but God bless you and all who decide to stay in New Orleans.

N.O. has dodged bullets for my entire 35 years on Earth. Has the luck run out?

Now who was it, the other day, talking trash about us here in north Louisiana? :hihi: J/K guys. Good luck. If anyone down there would like to weather this thing out in West Monroe, you are more than welcome to crash with us. Just PM me to get number and driving directions.

I'm afraid its not going to be pretty. Katrina will soon be in area in the Gult that is very warm and more importantly, very warm to a depth. This will provide rich energy for the storm. Right now, as most of you already know, the storm is apparently taking the northerly turn that has been predicted which is not good news for NOLA / SE LA and Ms. I have already prayed and will continue to pray for all in the storm's path. My house is not very far as the crow flies from the open waters of Vermillion Bay so I can relate to how anxious these people are, its a sinking feeling because there just isn't much you can do except get out of the way and pray. I was at a retreat in Convent La. (Manreasa) this weekend and it got canceled this morning because many were there from New Orleans and Ms. You could see the look in some peoples' eyes when the news was announced. I hate hurricanes !
