yep, and it's just as much about the hypocrisy of signing your name to a contract and then whining like a little bitch that you got fired when you broke the terms of that contract
did he whine? we were whining for him. schillings always spoken his mind. espn knew this but they control the gavel so we get it, its the game. we just dont like the way the game has devolved.
I get it and I don't necessarily disagree that the PC police go too far, too often. That said, in these cases I just have to scratch my head and wonder why the guy wouldn't channel his political rage, which is his right, somewhere more appropriate. Especially when you consider the exact point you made about the PC police being too pious, with the society we live in today.....he should have been more careful.
There are companies though that wouldn't be pussies about it and wouldn't fire him. Bill Maher is about as anti Muslim as there is and he is still on TV. This has taught me a valuable lesson though. I mean what he said really wasn't even that bad.
i agree he should have known better. i also disagree that we shouldnt be able to speak open and honestly as a country and not worry about who we offend. Companies have no chance, however, to take a stand with the social media insanity and its only going to get worse. the faux outrage over everything is enough to make any sane person cut the rj45 cable. he would have never survived on public television. bill simmons just signed with HBO also.
You're right, hell he didn't survive on public television. His show was about the PC problem, and he got axed.
