    That's the word from govolsxtra.com

UT expected to hire Cutcliffe GoVolsXtra

Supposedly UT is interviewing a "mystery candidate", I wonder if it's Leach?

Pratically Leach is untouchable right now. Whether he did anything wrong or not, he is perceieved by a lot of people to have improperly dealt with a student. Plus the potential lawsuit (Leach v TTU) would be yet another drama that UT may not want to deal with.

Because Tenn is supposed to be one of the premier jobs in the country and to get turned down by any service academy coach does not look good no matter the argument.

It is almost just like Weiss losing to service academy teams. Hell, they might have a great team but it just doesn't look good.

That may be true IF that coach didnt have ties to the academy.
My understanding is this guy is an Air Force graduate. Those guys in the Military are extremely loyal. And that is REALLY cool to be honest. So in this case I dont think that is a big surprise. Remember to those guys Football is just another piece of a much larger puzzle for them.

So I understand this guy saying no thanks. I dont think it has anything to do with UT at all. T

Why would the Air Force coach was to deal with the massive discipline program that is the UT program? UT is a madhouse. At AFA he has a good job, well-appreciated and does not have to deal with the crazies.

You know, the troubles Tennessee is having hiring a decent coach is what would have happened here (to a degree) if Miles would have been whacked after this season. Tennessee is NOT one of the premier jobs in college football after all is it. despite what their delusional fanbase thinks.

I'm not sure I understand your apparent disregard for the service academy teams. Why doesn't it look good for a service academy to beat a top ranked team?

I didn't get that at all out of what he said..

On the same note though, it bothers you no worse to see LSU lose to UAB than if it were a highly ranked team like a Florida or Texas team?

what he said. the service academies just simply arent considered "football schools".

absolutely no disrespect to the military is involved. at least not what i got. bhelm is one of the last people i would think has something against the military.

It wouldn't be the first time I misread a post. I was just puzzled by the two references to service academies followed by it just doesn't look good.

And I don't think bhelm has an agenda against the military.
