Damn...we need to get someone on base before he throws wild pitches! That first base umpire is FOS! He called us twice for swinging and missed badly when he called us out on the double play! :angryfire
LSU 5th: Nola flew out to RF. LeMahieu hit it back to the pitcher. Schimpf flew out to CF. End of 5: Texas 5, LSU 1
Go back and read threads from the last three weeks. This isn't the first time we've discussed Texas being very fortunate this post-season...and it's not just on LSU sites. It's been pretty obvious that Texas went through several series where they weren't hitting much and getting quite a few breaks. Don't take it personal. You have a really good team. Just don't pretend you have a dominant team. The best team doesn't always win the CWS. It takes a good team AND, AND, AND, a few breaks. Texas has already had their fair share to get here.
Again: everybody knows LSU is the underdog here and everybody loves cheering for the underdog... and everybody is going to love it when LSU wins the CWS National Championship... come on, you're here on an LSU site (instead of a Texas longhorn site) and you've admitted your strong ties to Louisiana (you lived here and you loved it more than Texas). The reason you're here is because, like the rest of the world, you'd love to see LSU pull off the upset of #1-seed Texas for the CWS Chamipionship. And we will. Quit back-stabbing LSU, the team you want to win. We will win this thing. We have every serious sports fan in the USA cheering for us, even you.
Is this Texas pitcher THIS good, or are our bats just not "on" tonight? He's only thrown about 60 -65 pitches.
I'm gonna go ahead and jinx us and call this one a done deal. Our guys just don't seem to want to hit the ball:huh:
childish? I went on a texas board last night after the game and several people there were complaining that the announcers were for LSU because they were wearing purple shirts. how sad is THAT?
