Wait, aren't you the first to blame Les for not getting our back ups more PT? If Jefferson isn't that far ahead of him this is a softball right down the middle right?

Can't have it both ways amigo.

You know Jefferson ain't playing here anymore, Hoss. Are you just complaining on automatic?

Of course I can. I still want Les to get all the freshmen more PT as they earn it. We are starting three or four freshmen, Les has played 18 of them. The ones that are performing are playing more. Harris has been given plenty of snaps and he has shown flashes of brilliance but he is also erratic and can't read defenses. But he will get more playing time as he earns it. Meanwhile Jennings is more consistent and will get the lions share of the snaps.

All season long, I have called for BOTH of these quarterbacks to be played. You want Jennings benched and go with Harris for some strange reason unrelated to their performances. But Nega and the Minions have to have a scapegoat. Les, Welter and Jennings are boogiemen and must be ridiculed at all times.

Neither can Jennings. In fact, this looking to the sideline is a clear indication not a damn player can read the D.

On the other hand, you see everyone on D calling out assignments.[/QUOTE]

Flynn and Mauck read defenses to two national championships. But one started as a junior and the other as a senior. We are seeing these problems because we must play young guys who would have benefitted from a redshirt year plus a year holding a clipboard and another year as a backup before starting as juniors.

The one who started last night has problems but it's not reading defenses. His accuracy is. Even a short pass across middle and #18 one-handed a ball thrown behind him. What a nit TM had. I was so glad for him cause he is our best RB. He lowers his head and finishes a run strong.

Nobody suggested that. The point you missed is that the situation where we no longer have several tiers of developing quarterbacks leaves us in a bad position where we must play freshmen.

Well, the other was even worse the last time he started. One of these guys has to step up a level in passing or the games we have coming up will be grim.
