spurrier is viable, no doubt though unlikely. its no rumor, he definitely is not a big recruiter like nick. He'd prefer to play golf after assigning his assistants the tedious work. He actually won with lesser talent than he should have fielded except the all important skill positions. He made sure he had those for his fun n gun, except the QB spot. thats where he wants the spotlight being the ex heisman QB genius he is. He'd prefer to get all the kudos calling the shots and rotating a couple of non-ego role players in yet wuerffell forced his hand into making him a starter simply because he was smarter than spurrier. :hihi: :hihi: He's definitely more viable than JJ or Bob Stoops. outside shot but a slight chance nonetheless.
yes but what about in college? I thought about that too. his NFL players hate him but if it works some in the pros itd have to work better in college id think? maybe not. his players do hate him severely.
That's interesting. Why all the hoopla and no signed deal, and we are about a month out from that announcement if not more. What's the hold up in SC?
Why would Spurrier have hired a staff and started recruiting, without signing his contract... I can dig through my Post & Couriers and see but I do think his contract was signed shortly after the PC.
Skip....you ain't Joe Dean...and.... ...we ain't as stupid as we used to be..... Blockbuster (and I am seriously hoping that there are no puns here...) means BLOCKBUSTER.... Jimmy Johnson or Bill Walsh....that would bust my block!!!
THANK GAWD! I am just frightened and confused because Joe Dean is associated with the firm that is helping with this coaching search. Scares me almost as bad as the BoS wanting more say in the process. I might have to write a booked entitled "Fear and Loathing in Baton Rouge" if we take the recommendations from Dean as gospel.
