Who said anything about spiking the ball? If he throws the ball out of bounds on the play where he ran the ball there is no need to spike it. Also the refs didnt get the ball set in time to spike or kick it after JR's ill advised run. And yes I saw it I was there.

The refs never got the ball set and started the clock the whole team could have been on the field and it would have made no difference. The opportunity was shot when JR ran the ball instead of throwing it away.

I was hollering at the TV asking the same thing. He was tackled with 10 seconds left. Why in the heck would the coaches send the kicking team out there?

You can't get it set up in 10 seconds? JR start running off the field signaling for the FG team, but the FG team should have been under the direction of CLM. Why would he send them out with less than 10 seconds.

Yes JR made a bad decision thinking he could at least get the 1st down, but it appeared he could've made it. But for him to sit on the ground for 2 seconds was worse. It was CLM's fault for sending the FG team out.

The fact that we didn't get 3 points was CLM's fault. It is much faster to lineup the guys out there and spike the ball, than to get everyone off the field and the FG team in place. I couldn't believe my eyes when that happened. THEY HAD 10SECs!!!

Then Les comes to Holly Rowe and complains about JR. He could've taken the blame too for not telling them to spike the ball. Poor coaching and communication. I can't understand why he would send the FG team.

That's not the point ... Yes, Russell made a bad decision. But why is the coaching staff running the field goal unit on the field?

Odds are the clock would have run out if they tried to line up and spike the ball, but there was absolutely ZERO chance of getting the field goal unit on the field.

I'd prefer to see our coaches have their head in the game and understand the situation. If we expect that from our QB, we should expect that from our coach.

How can Miles complain about the run when he tried to call "the time out" in the second half.

Can't say I disagree with that and I really wish that was the only time the staff looked dazed and confused but unfortunately for the team and the fans it was not. :bncry: :bncry: :bncry: :bncry:
