Dandydons report on first practice

    I heard M. Randall was practicing yesterday on defense at the safety position and Mayes was playing at linebacker. Isn’t Mayes a little small for this position? I think if Randall moves to safety it will be best for him and the rest of the team. I don’t think he will get a lot of playing time at quarterback and he is too good of an athlete to just sit on the bench.

    Mayes is listed at 6-1, 211, so yeah, I think hes just a little light to be playing LB. Maybe he has bulked up a little in the off-season. He would be an excellent coverage LB, though. In my opinion, it would be great to see Randall at the safety position IF we dont need him backing up Mauck. It seems that Ricard, Flynn, and Russell may be better, anyway. Randall is something like 6-2, 220, which is pretty good size for safety. He may be athletic enough to really shore up the secondary. Interesting...

    I seriously doubt that Randall was working out at Safety yesterday.
