    Well, I walked to work for 19 years when I rented just off campus, but when I bought the house, I'm a bit outside of effective bicycling range. In the summer, I'd have to have a shower and a change at the office, which ain't practical. But it is a short, 10-minute commute, so the carbon footprint ain't too bad.
