He did a lateral TO us and split a year later. I'd prefer someone with a little longevity (2-3 seasons these days) then some 1 and done cat, and that's the risk we take with someone already competing in conference. He'd have to be pretty fed up with Mullin just to want to do the same elsewhere, so who knows

Gomila is pretty good and covered the gamut with his list. But these things are crazy fluid.

Id like Grantham for one reason. If we've learned anything it's that coaching is incestuous. Esp in the sec. You telling me we get to weaken those bitches in Gainesville and get a proven sec dc.
ie, we get to Fuck Florida®? Sign me up.

Problem is Grantham jumps ship more than lane kiffin. His agent and family must be tired by now. I am, just after reading his bio.

    Field - even money.

Grantham has struggled mightily in recent past. Think he is benefitting from a weak East more than anything right now and inherited a really good line built by Mushcamp.

Florida would be fine without Grantham. Best defenses we played...

    Anyone mention this guy yet?:

    Kris Richard

The now-former Dallas Cowboys DB coach, Richard played at USC during Orgeron’s time there, but made his name as the DB coach of the Seattle Seahawks’ Legion of Boom group a few years ago. He’s a young guy, so it stands to reason that he could adapt to the college game well. And Pete Carroll would almost certainly recommend him.

Be more disappointed we gave it to a DB coach not named Raymond, if we are going that direction.

Let's not go 2008 all over again with unproven talent at DC.

I will say I'm confident with whom we are gonna hire because O is making the decision. No way he puts his defense in the wrong hands. He's gonna get someone who fits his mold of a no crap taking leader. A leader of men.

How is going from the SEC East runners up to the National Champions a lateral move?
