Ole Miss has it's conference going for it. Ole Miss would be a good place for a coach to go if he wants to get in the SEC. In fact any SEC school is attractive for coaches looking to get a little national spotlight as well, if someone can turn the program around they would get major press. And since it is very hard to get into an SEC program, the best time to do it is when one of the teams are in a downward spiral. Miss is also a good state for recruiting so it would have an added bonus.

That said, turning around a SEC program is tough work. Saban did an excellent job at LSU, and that might be the kind of blue print most new SEC coaches will use to rebuild a program. I remember Saban's words well when he took the job. He said that winning was important, but he wanted schools to fear playing LSU b/c of how physical the game would be. For Saban it worked. He turned around LSU and every possible NFL job that is available, Saban gets mentioned.
