Hey all - Thank you for the tremendous responses; the article has been posted everywhere from OU boards to USC boards (as well as boards across the SEC), and also on the ESPN boards. I received thousands and thousands of visitors in the last few days, more than when I unveiled my "SEC Family Tree." I am unveiling a new update in the next several days that will be a departure from the fisking (which will still be prominently displayed) that will be just a bevy of madcap hilarity and processed meatstuffs. I do appreciate all of the kind compliments and I thank Brett for such a good forum, and for the prominent "LSU Link" placement. I encourage everyone to come back and visit the site, as I will be adding archives (my game write-ups and articles from the past 2 seasons) in the next few weeks. TigerinTn, Gamekeeper's is still our haunt - we own the place on Saturdays. I likely met you if you were there in the last couple of years...I was the guy that management was asking to stop drinking out of the pitchers and to kindly get down from the bar (as was the case for the Sugar Bowl v. Illinois). The bar loves us, and even plays pre-game/fight song over the loudspeakers. We commandeer the place, and the manager recently told me: "I've never seen a bunch of people so intent on watching a football game and drinking themselves into oblivion. It's like you're on some sort of cult mission." I welcomed him with open arms. Come see us in Chicago!
the place will probably be packed on Jan 4th. Wish I had known about Gamekeepers a few years ago whenever I was doing all that traveling! It sure would have been fun to hang out with some fellow Tiger nuts like y'all! (Jeez...that didn't sound good! Sounded like Mike had on some hole-riddled skivies..lol)
Gamekeeper's is at the southeast corner of Lincoln and Armitage, in the southern end of Lincoln Park. Just minutes north of the Loop, about 1 mile east of the Brown Line stop on Armitage.
Took a jump through Mississippi, well, muddy water turned to wine. Took a jump through Mississippi, muddy water turned to wine. Yeah, yeah. Then out to California through the forests and the pines. Ah, take me with you, Jesus. You might not see him in person but he'll see you just the same. You might not see him in person but he'll see you just the same. Yeah, yeah. You don't have to worry 'cause takin' care of business is his name.
