I never commented on the original subject.....bad move on Georgia's part. Liberals believe in taxation as punishment; it is not good government. It's the public's prerogative to punish a business if it goes off the reservation.

I bet there are a ton of other states that would gladly accept Delta’s business and offer them similar tax breaks.

The work and effort to move a airline hub is herculean. To think Delta can move the Atlanta hub from Hartfield I’d laughable. Even moving the corporate headquarters is a major effort. Delta will either swallow the tax or change their position on the NRA discount......quietly. .

Delta started in Monroe. They don't have much of an airport.

New Orleans is in the process of building a new state of the art terminal at Armstrong Airport. I bet it will be capable of handling one airline's hub traffic. But in reality, you're probably right that they won't move.

I can understand that position, and you are right, moving either would be a huge PITA.

But, given the sweepstakes nature of the Amazon alt headquarters, cities/states are willing to go way out ther to lure a major employer.

You are probably right, but I would not be too surprised if they get an offer they cannot refuse.

Can you even imagine the ATL without masses of Delta planes? A wasteland.

I can imagine it. I f’n hate Atlanta. I’d much rather connect in.New Orleans, or DFW.
