  1. LaSalleAve

    LaSalleAve when in doubt, mumble

Their tune kind of changed when they moved to Hotlanta anyway.

They started out as a crop dusting service. Didn’t need much of an airport.

Atlanta has how many runways???? New Orleans has 2. Atlanta severest about 100,000,000 passengers a year....New Orleans around 10% of that. The logistics of moving Delta’s largest hub doesn’t compare to landing Amazon’s second HQ. New Orleans may be capable of handling a minor airlines secondary hub.....Delta’s primary in your dreams.

NOLA might not be able to handle Delta but cities like Chicago, LA or DFW could and would find the money to make it happen if they thought Delta wanted to move.

As Pres. Eisenhower said, "I don't know if I'm going to heaven or hell, but I do know I'm going through Atlanta to get there."

Why couldn't an airport be the hub for 2 airlines?

It could but I would imagine the contracts of the ones they have would not be favorable to it
