Guess you missed Addai's 109 yard rushing night on 16 carries.... I guess you also didn't notice the 190 yards of rushing that we totalled. Look around in the box scores of the games that two top 25 teams played one another. Texas only had 112 yards rushing....Ohio State had 111 Notre Dame had 104 yards rushing....Michigan had 114 #7 VT rushed for 182 yards vs DUKE! We had 8 more yards that the Hookies--and we played a top 15 team. So, quit your b*tch*ng about the running game just because you're angry with the defense.
An excerpt from an article on SI: As an added good sign, it doesn't appear that the absence of junior running back Alley Broussard, who injured a knee in mid-August and is out for the year, will hurt the Tigers too much. A committee of Joseph Addai, Shyrone Carey and Justin Vincent racked up 202 yards on 36 carries among them. Not too bad IMO.
I thought all 3 running backs played VERY WELL! I think Broussard would have been the best of the bunch, but nobody is more than half a step behind. I was impressed with Carey pushing the pile. Vincent looked quick to me. Addai has just a great heart and intensity; he puts out 100% every play, gotta love Addai! :thumb:
Did Sammy Joseph play last night? I just looked at the game stats and it doesn't appear as though he did. I would have thought he would have been in on nickle converages. Puzzling to say the least.
