1. Stand by for lightening. We finally got a tab bit of clarity and transparency from @LSUDad
  2. Do you think he would be receptive to suggestions? IconLOL.gif
  3. Two losing seasons will get a coach fired anywhere in the 21st century. Any coach. Any school.

Try to imagine how irrational this notion sounds, Ringo. We must replace a winning, championship coach because we fear that he might have a losing season someday. Nobody does that. Never ever.

  4. The problem is not the QB, or the coaching staff. The problem is that Edward Snowden leaked LSU's playbook to the rest of the SEC.

    Damn traitor

  5. Our QB has problems with the plays they(the coach) calls. just go back 8 years , what kind of a QB have we had .? That wins . We will be hard pressed to get "That Kind " of a QB again . That is the problem , !! Hell, we have the runners , the recievers , but we do not have "The " ______ !!!
Coaches can only call plays they "think" the QB can handle
Harris is not the answer , with the QB's we have and our future QB's we need to run the wishbone , with the toss option and the 6 yd pass option . I am not sure we could have faith in the pitch , to hard to get the timing for that . Even for that to work it starts with the QB's legs , if he is strong enough ,fast enough , it might work .
The drop back get in the pocket , it don't work for our QB's
We have 100% proof of that just watch the last game , if you think I maybe wrong !!!!

    GEAUX TIGERS !! GEAUX !!!
  6. Yes I too think LSU could bounce back from something that is not likely to happen.

  7. This is the key sentence of this long post - this is what @shane0911 is referring to about getting a hint of transparency from you. @LSUDad, we all enjoy your posts and insight. The entire message until this last line is the same exact stuff you have posted over and over. I appreciate your persistence, and agree with your big picture stance, but the last sentence highlights the specific challenge that Les has really never overcome during his tenure, and has likely cost him several other NCs, and certainly is the cause of many of our frustrations and sleepless nights. He can't get out of his own way when it comes to running an offense. It's not just the failures at QB, it's his overall philosophy. Look at all of the offensive athletes that have come through our program. Many have been misutilized, underutilized, or just plain lost in the pathetic offenses we run. This is what we would also like you to comment on more specifically. What are your thoughts on this particular component? Give us some insider insight on this! What will it take to run a whole team optimally, rather than 2/3 (DEF and STs are our strength, and not the problem)? What will it take for CLM to recruit better at QB and run an offense that is a well oiled machine utilizing its strength of athletes, rather than a diesel that keeps churning and churning inefficiently w/some steady success but not getting all out of its potential? And, don't refer to last year w/Mett, etc b/c that was an anomaly. Yes, they were efficient on 3rd down, but its a problem that they needed to be that efficient on 3rd down and long, series after series. You will not be set up for success long term if you have to convert that often like last years offense - it was great that they did it, but not likely to continue year after year.

  9. One example that I have to fall back on gives me great hope for next season . And you know I am not really happy about this year . Factors that I will not chat about they are over and not only will they not change but cannot be changed now . My grandsons HS football team last season got beat up on very badly by teams . Yet the same team that got beat up on last season so far this year is 13-0 if they win next week in Memphis they will be one game away from State Champs . That is a good turn around . And yes this same LSU team can do that on the college level, if they came together as a team and make a plan that will not allow a defeat . It can start with the next game .My grandson has to watch from the bench he leg was broken 3 weeks ago.It was hard for me to understand why my grandson wanted to play for his team after last season , but he and his team proved me wrong . And I am "betting" on this LSU team to prove me wrong again . They, our Tigers, have had a good season , they have .Now they are not young , they are grown up,
    so,

    GEAUX TIGERS !! GEAUX !!!

  10. Les only plays Srs, that use to be the biggest knock on him for years. Now, guess he has changed?

He knows things didn't work this year, some did, some didn't. Barn and A&M like to sling the ball all over the field, what are their records, think they gonna change anything next year?

For years UT was a lot like Notre Dame, almost by invitation only. Now A&M and Baylor are getting those top tier guys. Wasn't always that way.

Yes I have said I don't like the way the season went, who has? Shane was asking about back to back losing seasons. You won't see it. Nothing moves a coach more than empty seats. Football is an will always be the cash cow. An yes, I expect to see changes in the team.

I was at a game last night, the player I got to see? This is the headline from his writeup:"
Meet Jameill Showers, the Man Who Almost Prevented the Johnny Football Era!"
