I haven't seen a thread on this and thought it might grab the interest of some. http://wgno.com/2014/10/01/police-destrehan-teachers-had-a-three-way-with-a-student/
You kid, I think. If I was in any way involved there's no way I'd be chatting about it here. I both kind of wish they were, and am glad they're not, my clients. Very high profile but very unlikely to ever go to trial. The spotlight makes it more difficult to do the work that needs to be done and no trial means no stage, for lack of a better term. And payment is ALWAYS in the coin of the realm. It's been drummed into me since law school that diddling clients is a big no-no.
I used to think these types of incidents were rare but they are either becoming more frequent or we are more aware due to social media. This particular one has the makings of being captivating to the masses. Is it a huge national story yet?
I think it has always happened. My great aunt, who was born in 1905, married my great uncle two years after he'd been her student. This happened in the late 20's/early 30's. My mom talked about a coach at her middle school who ran off with one of the high school girls. This was in the early 50's. It's always happened, but now, there is really no way to hide it.
I agree that it's always happened, though I don't specifically know of it happening during my time in high school. In other news, I read earlier today that the alleged threesome took place after the Destrehan-Helen Cox football game. I know there's a joke there somewhere.
