Which makes it even stranger that he would bolt. I have said before that Simmons disrupted a good thing here. He was a distraction and for all his hype didn't do a damn thing for the team. TQ would have been much better served by channeling that negative energy into getting the team back and going to work next season. As it stands this thread will be the last we hear of him.
He may have been on the verge of academic ineligibility. He is not going to say "I flunked out" and LSU cannot say it. If he was not going to play next year, he might as well take a shot in the draft.
or he hates college. or he needs money. pretty sure he took a flier on the draft and figured he'd likely be playing in Mexico with Bo Spencer and Jaime Lloreda.
