Interesting. So the points are based on polls, but polls are meaningless?

Or are you cherry-picking facts to support a 2-loss team back-dooring into the title game?

The polls only count in determining who made it into the bcs game... Once there, the champ is the team who wins said game... All teams and conferences agreed to that prior to the season (including USC)... Then they cried split after... There was only one bcs trophy a year and lsu won it in 2003... The whole thing, not half...

The 2011 season was absolutely amazing. I refuse to be bitter about it.

We dominated one of the toughest schedules I've ever seen. One could go on and on about that team's numerous accomplishments.

As far as 2003 goes, it should have been LSU vs USC in the BCS Title game. But you can't penalize LSU. We got in the game and WON.

If you go back to 2007, it was a real fluky season. Almost every week there was an upset with either #1 or #2.

At the end of the day, here's how and why it shook out the way it did ---

Ohio St won the Big 10, and with only 1 loss they were ranked #1.

LSU had 2 losses in Triple OT. There were several other 2 loss teams --- Va Tech, USC, Georgia, Missouri. But LSU had beaten Va Tech by a score of 48-7 earlier in the season.

By season's end, LSU had beaten 7 ranked teams, plus the ACC Conf Champion. And this is why LSU was voted #2.

Again, LSU got in the game and won.

LSU finishing the regular season at #2 in 2007 wasn't even controversial then, and there is no need to defend it now.

This Egg Bowl bozo is just trying to rile everyone up and be a contrarian for fun. Ignore him/her.

Understood, but no one even considered 1-loss Kansas for a title game appearance, either.

More to do with the endless Saban-ESPN reach-around immediately after their loss.

What does Alabama's 2007 team have to do with Kansas?

It had more to do with Kansas' schedule than anything...
