Did anyone see the talking heads on ESPN last night?

I would like to see LSU play Michigan in the Rose Bowl.

This game however would probably have a bigger impact than just the two schools matching up. I have a feeling that the overall strength of the SEC and Big 10 will be evaluted based on the results.

If LSU goes, LSU needs to represent the whole SEC and take it to 'em.

So would I. I think we would match up very well against them. I think we could throw the ball against them and I think our D could contain their O.

Yeah. I heard them say that. On a night where I was so happy (because BOTH ND AND WVW lost), my day ended on a sour note because I was more than just a little pissed by that comment.

Did the media all of a sudden forget that Michigan DESTROYED ND earlier this year??!?!?!

To me, the comments about a "rematch" against Michigan is nothing more than to cover their a$$e$ and maintain their spot on the Irish bandwagon. :dis:

Oh well, at least today's BCS standings brightened my day with  at #5!!!

Also besides the fact that Michigan/ND play every year!!!. They want a rematch - they have it next year in Ann Arbor the second week of the season. I get sick of seeing rematches. If UF/FSU or Miami/FSU or UF/Miami play again in a BCS bowl, I am going to puke. They play enough let them settle it during the regular season. Let two teams that have never matched up play for conference bragging rights. Isn't seeing two teams that will never play be more interesting than seeing a game played every year on the second week of the season again in the postseason.

That is exactly what they were saying. Basically said it was a no brainier, no one else was in the race. Party line. The time is right for Fox to come up with a college game day show.:geauxtige

we'd have big problems with so cal. quite unlike any we've played this year. their O is balanced with a solid qb and two great wrs. their DL would pressure jr. would likely be a helluva game.

Besides, I get tired of ESPN sticking with the little top left box scoreboard. For those lucky enough to have HD, you know that it just kinda sits in the top left halfway towards the edge. All Fox broadcasts (HD or no) have that very clean, out of the way top bar thingy.

I guess the technical term would be a "bug" but it's not really a bug, so IDK what to call it, but yeeah. I'm just trying to say that not only does Fox have a better crew (TERRY BRADSHAW DOING COLLEGE FOOTBALL ZOMG) but it has better production values, if lacking a little in the HD camera quality. I'd like to see Fox come out with another cable channel similar to ESPNU that covers college football. ESPN has the rights to all NCAA championships, but it doesn't have the rights to all NCAA games.

The problem is going to exist no matter where we go with this, but right now it's being exacerbated by the monopoly.

Fowler is the only reputable one on the set. As others have pointed out, Herbstreit has an agenda. But he's also backpeddaling on what he thinks of us. I just saw him on Sportscenter and he now believes we'll get an at large bid to the Orange Bowl against Wake Forest. That's if both Fla. and USC hold serve this weekend.

FWIW: cb.sportsline just updated their bowl projections with Michigan and LSU in the Rose Bowl. That would be nice.
