It's because they use that horrible forum software. Those scripts are so old they should be put out of their misery. It encourages one line posts...and more than that, it encourages people to start a new thread to answer a post in another thread because the 'threaded view' they use only allows for 5-10 threads per page before it gets knocked off the front page. The new generation of forum scripts (vB, phpbb2, ipb, etc) are much better for developing discussion and keeping a community together.
Tigerbait does have an option to switch to the same format as ours. But it's not the default, which is kinda irritating. Definitely admit the older format sucks to high heaven.
On TigerBait you can permanently set your preference in user options and you can temporarily override that choice while reading the message. I prefer topic view, but it doesn't show thread structure, which is handy at times. Is there a way to switch between the two here? I'm new here, so I may be overlooking the obvious.
Actually the reason the posts are more well thought out on TigerForums is because we are all a bunch of geniuses ! Sometimes you just have to tell it like it is !
I don't understand all vB, ipb stuff but I trust that you're right. :lol: I like the way this is set up. :thumb:
