    I used to think that until my girls started playing 9 years ago. Soccer is pretty big in N Texas. For the last 2 weeks, we have had a pickup game in my backyard. Kids ages 12-18. These kids have some serious skills!. I have learned to appreciate the game. I was of the same mindset as Nootch before we started playing. 9 years in, I am a convert.

    From a real world perspective as to why it is so popular, it is simple. All you need is a ball and a fairly large area. Way less equipment than pretty much any other sport.

    Lots of times. Their facilities are amazing compared to ours. The grass is like putting greens. Not a weed anywhere in the parks either.

    I love that town, i can't ever go though because of the Stonebrair Mall, my wife would bankrupt me if she was ever let loose in that place.
