Just don't want you to forget about us. Damn! Hijacked my own thread. Let's hear some more Dildeaux sucks talk.:thumb:
From reading his articles on LSU it's obvious he visits the LSU boards. These boards are the only place he gets any recognition these days and I think many of these articles are written just so he can go to the boards and see that at least one person still reads his garbage. I think if he were never mentioned again and his articles never quoted or linked on the LSU boards it would hurt him much more than reading posts that say the obvious, that we all know he is an ignorant a$$.
:nope: There were public rumblings about Torre's job not 2 weeks ago. 6 wins and you are blowing smoke?
Why on Earth would you read that paper in the first place? There's GOT to be a more entertaining Coon Ass 'Tard Times out there.
The Morning Advocate doesn't deliver where I live so the Daily Fertilizer is my only choice. I get up early (3:30 am today) and I like my morning paper and coffee. The paper is there when I get up so it's better than driving 2 miles to pick up a BR paper.
I remember him at the advocate, does anyone know why he has such a jones for LSU? Every article he writes he slams us, it's never positive, and I remember when Saban was here, he was pretty much anti-Saban, now he talks about him like he's the second coming, what's his problem? And will he be man enough to say what a moron he is when the season is over.
It's not LSU. If he was in Oklahoma he'd be hard on OU. Guilbeau's thing has always been to be controversial. His column gets read and passed around and linked to because of it. They hate him on the Bama boards, too, because he also tosses grenades at Saban from time to time. He really doesn't bother me much, in general. We need at least one cowboy journalist who isn't a homer for the local team. I remember the days when all the BR sportswriters slobbed the knob of whoever the coach was and would never report bad news. The sportswriters knew early that Stoval, Archer, and Hallman were not getting the job done, but they homered for LSU anyway. The Advocate is sensitive to this. When John Adams criticised LSU too much he got fired and is the stud sportswiter in Memphis now. Guilbeau got fired, too, and is now working the smaller Gannet papers in Louisiana. He's balance against the homer sportwriters in my opinion and keeps them honest. That's why I say if he did not exist we would just annoint someone else as the sportwriter we love to hate. Does he sometimes go over the line and piss us all off? Yep! That's the idea. We're reading his column, linking to it, and discussing it in the off season. Works pretty well. Guilbeau is not a fool.
