The guy can't coach, he had long enough if you ask me. Maybe if they were improving but not when they are getting worse.

UK will probably be the next program to announce a coaching change.

hmm dinardo beat a ranked Oregon team in Augden. Cutcliffe wins 10 games and SEC coach of the year last year.

these are 2 universities who better stick with anything close to what they already had or they will find themeselves paying out contracts every 2 -3 years.

Dinardo coached pretty well at IU yet played so close to the vest on offense and not to lose, it was sickening. an outmanned team playing ultra conservative. they do play hard for him.

Ole Myth is laughable. Who do they think they will hire?

Worst game by far had to be Penn St. 1st and Goal at the 1/2 yard line, down by 5 or so points with under a minute to play and they get stuffed 4 straight times.

Very likely this game cost him his job. And deservedly so.

tirk, how can Indiana keep a coach that plays not to lose, as you allude to? Those are the worst kind.

Guess he will sell his restaurant there too. Actually, this one is owned by his wife I believe, a De Angelos pizzeria if I am not mistaken.

well levecchio wasnt too bad at QB and those white dudes played really hard. Prolly won't get a hell of a lot better there. I assume they spoke to him about his offensive philosophy being offensive and knowing gerry and his hardhead refused to change or fire coordinators. He played the same way here yet tepper's d had us 3 scores down which was a bad mix.

I saw a lot of their games on satellite since he has been there and I think it was against Michigan last year where they totally outplayed them yet he was content in trying to run the clock out halfway even though it was a one or 2 score game. Also saw one where he was down 3 scores with 2 minutes left and he is on his own 20 and running the clock out.

He has no sense of urgency and plays not to lose badly. very stubborn and stupid to play for pride.

oh yeah he also beat minnesota this year.

he could be a great fit for a program like indiana but he doesn't quite get it.

Dinardo is still the Magic Man to me. He came into an LSU football program that had six straight losing seasons and gave us three straight winning seasons and three straight bowl games, including a 10-win season and a bowl victory over Nick Saban's Michigan State team. He left LSU with a winning record and was liked by most everybody.

The wheels came off in his last season when he went 2-8 and got fired. He may not have been the coach to take LSU to the next level, but he did stop the losing streak, brought back white jerseys at home, and brought back the magic to Tiger Stadium. If you never sat through those six losing seasons, you just don't know how bad it was. I still like Gerry Dinardo and I hope he ends up at the right school for him. He'd be a fine coach in the Ivy League or at one of the service academies.
