If we can consistently be in the Top 10 and challenge for the SEC with a legitimate NC run evry few years or so I would be exstatic. If we can stay in the reload mode and out of the rebuild mode we should be fine. As long as we continue to recruit the way we have in the last 5 or 6 years we will remain a national power. I know most people don't like to associate Saban with anything positive but he built a foundation that should allow LSU to be strong for a very long time. As long as we don't end up with a coach that destroys the program (Up In Smoke Laval) and we stay ahead of the curve with facilities and such everything should be great. It seems we have a great coach in Miles and that he will stay at LSU for a long time.
I'm not disappointed if we don't win a NC. Last year was very enjoyable. Well, two weeks were forgetable, but that's the way its going to go. Year in and year out in the SEC, there will be 4 or 5 games we could lose. Of the 5, 3 we should win but could lose, and 2 are really toss ups. Last year, Auburn, Fla., Tenn. and Arky were all toss ups. If I feel like we have a legit chance to win all those games, even if we don't, I'm pretty happy. That's the way I felt last year. I think Fla. lost more than we did this year, so that will even it up with them. We won't totally replace QB and 2 receivers. I think we'll be better at RB with a year of experience. Offensive coaching will be a question mark until we see it, with new OC, line and WR coach. I hope all that comes together. I think next year could be similar to last year, depends how the ball bounces. With a couple of good bounces, it could be a better year, and we should get some consideration for being around at the end of the year for the big dance. My biggest disappointment last year was not getting to play Michigan in the Rose Bowl. I just think that would have been way cool! Why couldn't USC win one when we needed them to?
Are you kidding me? That is classic. It's a funny thing but there were so many variables that were just screaming upset when we played the ruins. Woulda', coulda', shoulda'...............didn't. :dis: And I agree. LSU and Michigan would have been a great matchup.
I wanted that too, but I had preliminary party plans for both the Sugar and Rose. The good news? 1) I sold my rights for Rose tix and paid for my Sugar tix in full on the $$ I made. 2) I got to spend even more time after the holidays in BR with the family & friends. 3)The Quata is a waaaaaaayyyy good tailgating spot. 4)It felt reeeeaaaaalllllyyyy good pimpslappin' da Irish. :thumb: :geauxtige
Glad you had a good time. I can appreciate the pimpslappin....the irish really NEED it. Rose Bowl tailgaiting was pretty good this year too. :hihi: Dinner at Philippe's after for some "French Dip". I did it up lamb style. The usual contingent will be heading up for the kal game this year.....you should come by and say hello.
Saturdays in the Berserkely zoo are aight... I probably go there 2-3 times a month... Great Farmer's Market downtown, awesome brewpubs, crazy good restaurants, and the usual strange scene on Telegraph... And sadly, overrated football teams.... I 'preciate the invite, mebbe we'll do it... :thumb: But I'll probably have to show up with one of your sick brethren....
