So what are some thoughts on the "Cliff"? I think taxes should only be raised with equal cuts. Cuts in everything.. But thats just me. Hold round until both parties give in.
Taxes not used with reduced spending or less borrowing is pointless. Massive spending and borrowing is a road to failure. Economic law will win out over political ones. He has to address spending simultaneously for it to matter but it seems it's not on the docket until next year.
If you are seeking truth, one must do research. Debates are for people with opposed positions to make a case for their own.
I know when red is playing devils advocate. I don't see the point because there is a usually a subtlety you can argue with someone that agrees with you if you want to examine something. I don't want to argue atop an empty mountain. My views haven't evolved much over time but I understand my own positions better. There are some topics I won't argue because I don't understand them well e ought defend my side. For instance I don't understand health care prices and how they can be managed. I am working on it. On religion I know everything there is that is possible to know and have been exactly right since age 11. I miss our old discussions where I would teach you guys how you are stupid and crazy cultists. This leads to a good question for my question thread
Sometimes you do. But I have taken you on some serious rides, too. Frequently. When the mountain is empty, the argument is won. Smile and enjoy the view. They why do you keep trying me on climate change?
i finally found the point, it is on top my head. because it pleases me that my unique argument from the perspective of human psychology and sociology has taught you so much about science. also i like this new phrase tirk made up about the empty mountain. i am gonna use it and pretend i made it up.
I hope republicans hold their ground on taxes. Let this administration drive right off that fiscal cliff. We need to get spending and borrowing under control. Start cutting entitlements and quit giving money to other countries. Besides, Barry must not be to concerned. He's taking family on vacation in Hawaii for next 3 weeks. There goes $4 million wasted taxpayer dollars right there.
