Well if they lose to Tt by 20 or more points (a distinct possibility unless they make adjustment at half), it will mean their argument against being snubbed by the BCS is as strong as a match stick.

ESPN constantly making excuses for Cal's poor play... although they do have injuries...

not true at all. teams who end up in lesser bowls are often the better team yet lose more often than not because their motivation is 'miles les' than the lesser team.

happens all the time yet people only see what they wish.

People also make excuses for things they want to see. Losing your focus over being snubbed is not a valid excuse. If Iowa beats us, it won't be because of a loss of focus, it's because they are better.

People will spin things just like that.
If one thing happens, they say one thing. If something else happens they say another.

no, its not spin. look into the history of bowl games and find the team who felt snubbed. Most always the team who wants to be there the most, wins. Iowa/LSU is not an example.

    Auburn/Va Tech is an example.

Its nothing new yet believe what you wish. I was simply stating facts that don't fit your argument so you call it spin.

So are you willing to put forth the theory that had USC lost to Michigan last year in the Rose bowl, then their claim to being #1 in the AP should have not been diminished?

People can judge for themselves ...everyone knows snubbed teams often lose focus, but not everyone accepts it as an excuse. Your avatar was a picture of the California coach yesterday...as I said people can judge for themselves.
