Saban's going to Bama would be another challenge for Miles to overcome. Regardless of Saban's decision, though, next year is going to be challenging for the Tigers.

They're losing the following Saban-recruited talent: Bowe, Davis, Dyakowski, Landry, Daniels, Pittman, and likely Dorsey and Russell. For the most part, Miles-recruited talent will have to step up and take these players' places.

Can Miles win with his own players, especially at the skill positions? And what happens when the Tigers, perhaps led by Ryan Perrilloux, go into Tuscaloosa to face a Saban-coached Bama team in November '07?

Lots of good story lines here. Miles has done a fine job his first two seasons. But next year he really starts to earn his keep. Especially in the eyes of those Tiger fans still nostalgic over Nick Saban. And even more so if Saban decides to go to Alabama.:lsup:

How about Gerry Dinardo, what was his record the first few years compared
to his last 2 years?

He should, 'cause when he beats BAMA next year he's gonna get a FAT pay-raise.

In short - this whole situation is just going to jack-up the salary war - and unfortunately, our ticket prices!

Emily, I saw you pitch in Tuscaloosa last year against the Tide. Great game, although the good guys or gals didn't win. My daughter plays and she's also a pitcher so I'm a huge softball fan. Bama first and LSU second. My wife is a LSU alum so I cheer for the Tigers when not playing Bama. Good luck this year. I hope that I'm able to come down to BR and see y'all play Bama. Will depend on my daughter's game schedule.

By the way, you're right about the Bama NC trophies. Obviously, the young Bama fan doesn't know enough to talk good smack. Nonetheless, I'm not hear to talk smack just to read the latest thoughts of the LSU fans.

I have her pic on my sig but I'm not her. My daughter pitches too but is only 12- we met Emily at the Regional tourn last year. I told one of the Carrolton fans that the girl in their dugout looked a lot like Emily Turner and they said it was. I brought my team and she signed autos and then other teams started lining up. She was really nice about it and so was her boyfriend who gave up time with her too. I'm not sure how we got her from California but she's top shelf! :thumb:

I was thinking about that situation too. I bet SC thought they would be sitting pretty by now, but it hasn't exactly worked out that way. I have a feeling CNS isn't going to be what he was here. Truthfully, if you look at the big picture, he hasn't done anything incredible anywhere but here. He's no miracle worker. He's no Bear.

That's an interesting angle on Spurrier. I guess the Florida fans (who probably were very jilted feeling when Spurrier went to SC) don't feel too much pain at the moment playing for the NC. And remember, we'd be playing for the NC if we'd one just one of the two we lost. I feel like Les Miles will get a NC at LSU--and then it will truly be Nick Who?
