I would like to have him back but only if Miles were to leave for a better opportunity. I would be stoked to have Saban here again but would not have near as much patience if the yearly rumors started again. That got OLD.
Neither do I. Just like Spurrier and Florida (albeit I understand that Spurrier and Florida left on really bad terms--something that Saban and LSU didn't have to worry about). Even if Saban wants to come back, as long as Miles continues to do what he's done the past 2 seasons, there's no way you fire Miles--a guy that wants to be here and wants to remain a college coach--for a guy that left you in the moonlight of your honeymoon for something he thought was a bigger, brighter future. take Saban back for what? For him to leave us again 3-5 years later? Miles is doing a stand-up job. And there's nothing that Les Miles is doing that makes me believe our post-Saban success won't continue.
I think we as LSU fans need to stop medalling with the past. I have no idea why anyone even cares about Saban coming back. We have a great coach in Miles, and to me this thread is extremely outdated and uncalled for. I can't believe i am even wasting my time reading it and typing my response.I think i just need to get out the fact that Saban is in the past and everyone needs to kindly move along. Don't we make fun of Bama for their beloved Bear???? Everyone give Saban a rest, we don't need him.
Sabans not going to Bama, but its funny to watch the overly tanned, leather skinned Miami fans who came here taunting us now going through the same thing, if he did go to Bama in two years Bama would be doing the same thing, Mich. St, LSU, Miami fans are dealing with. You get what you pay for. A great coach, with no loyalty and always looking over his shoulder for something better. And why would you fear a Saban coached Bama team. I dont.
I'm not going to say I fear them, but they will be a force to be reckoned with. Hell, when they were on their run last season, the media was quick to say "Bama is Back!" If Saban were to go there, they would probably take a similar path that we did when he came here. Only they are in better shape than we were. And as soon as they start winning, the pollsters will shoot them up the rankings. Mark that down, because that's exactly what would happen if he went.
This will all be a mute point anyway in a few weeks. Because anyone who really thinks he is going to Bama is smoking nice weed. He is going back to college but NOT bama, mark it down he will be the next coach of Penn State...
