that stuff certainly seems unconstitutional, but i know i shouldnt question anyone's faith. if god says we need government money for whatever, it must be true.
not sure why you think bad luck is uncommon. every coin flip has a winner and a loser. but forget that. i am exploring your point about miracles. i am curious about at what point a rarely occuring event can be declared a miracle and used as evidence for god. for instance if an event happens once every 365 days, is that a miracle? what if something is a 1 in a million? when a person wins the lottery, does that mean god exists? the odds are really against any single person winning. of course the odds are wildly in favor of somebody winning, but dont let that confuse you, i know you are trying to make up nonsense here.
First and foremost the health and well being of my children is not nonsense. Second at what point did I credit God with the miracle that I spoke of. In fact I gave credit to Science and Medicine. I do however thank God for his guidance, which allowed science and medicine to give my children the health they now have. You however could not comprehend that for to you there is no such thing, so I can understand how it is foreign to you. Being that it doesn’t exist to you, I get that and don’t ridicule you for it, nor am I trying to convince you one way or the other. For you, on the other hand to belittle an experience someone was faced with, and try to twist it into an opposing view of your own self impression, is somewhat callous.
quit pretending you can play that card and everyone has to be reverent. i am talking about miracles and what they mean, not your kids. i dont care about your kids. that is what i am asking you! how exactly did god allow science to do anything? who told you that? where are you getting this? you brought it up, i dunno why. i thought you were saying god exists because of your magical miracles. i was curious about your miracles and what they meant or what they had to do with the topic.
Prove to me he didn't give guidance and this discussion and all other religious discussions can end. As I said before, what God created, science attempts to explain.
I don't think that I have ever met a Christian that didn't think that God was perfect. Being that the Bible is God's "word" shouldn't I expect it to be perfect as well? What kind of being would allow people to speak for him through a flawed book? Certainly not a perfect one. All you did was rationalize the Bible's flaws to fit your personal beliefs. By definition, that's not faith and according to the Bible (Eph 2:8) it's by faith that you're saved, not your "good works", rationalizations, etc. Therefore, you're going to hell. You should stop wasting your Sundays in church and go fishing, sleep late, read a book, etc. since it's inevitable. and a miracle is an act that we don't understand. Just because our own intellect cannot understand or know what happened and how it happened doesn't mean it's cool to just make some **** up to explain it. That's how we ended up with people drowning people because they're witches, draining blood from people's skulls to treat mental illnesses, drawing maps based on a flat earth, etc. It's totally cool to say "I don't know how that happened" and move on with your life.
I am guessing you are directing those comments towards me. So, in response thank you for the lesson in God’s exact wording regarding faith. I think I will stick to my own beliefs and how I worship God, it has worked well for me so far, and I think the Lord accepts my interpretation. As for attending church, I haven’t attended a formal church in over 20 yrs, my family and I worship the Lord in our own home. As for the exact interpretation of what is and what isn’t a miracle, it can be as simple as an amazing and wonderful event. I may be wrong in it all, and if I am I will find out after I die, which is no different than anyone else. I don’t expect anyone else to share in my beliefs, nor do I want to even try to get them to. As I said in my initial post, you may not agree with my opinion. I do appreciate yours though, thank you again.
