Absolutely and undoubtedly... No question about it, YES. He should coach the game.

Right after the announcement, I felt he should go now and let the team move on. But with a little extra time to consider it, I think he should coach the game. He and this team need to go ahead and finish out a winner in the bowl game for another 10-win season. That would make Nick's record at LSU stand at 49 wins.

49 wins in five seasons. Folks, that's averaging 10 wins a season over five years (OK, 9.8). We ain't likely to see that again for a while. He has earned the privilege to coach the Tigers in their fourth straight New years bowl game.

Yes, he might be the last taste of a good coach at lsu the rate these good ole boys are conducting these interviews.

    Tedford
    Ferentz
    Del Rio

After that it is a crapshoot.

What is it that you guys are always (rightfully) bragging about? 2 SEC titles, 2 Sugar Bowl wins and something about a crystal egg?? Oh yeah, I think Saban had something to do with all that. Geeze guys, he made a career move and now he's a bum?...come on, how could he not coach the game?

I want him to coach the bowl game, because he gives us the best chance to win.

And, I am extremely grateful for what he did for LSU and LSU football. I am happy that he got a better opportunity and I am a Dolphin fan now when they are not playing the Saints.

I am not sure why we have to move on when Saban not coaching it hurts our team much more then him staying.

    Make the players suffer? Right....

I say it's a matter of principle. Once he accepts another job, he is no longer the LSU coach in my eyes. With the timing of his taking the Miami job, however, it really doesn't matter at this point. Had he taken it right after the end of the season, then it would have mattered. Bowl game practice is supposed to give young players a chance to learn and develop. Unless you are playing for a national championship, winning and losing is really secondary, although yes, I do want to win Saturday. My concern over the way this played out is how much of this practice time was wasted while Saban was in the process of interviewing and accepting the Miami job, and how much of the bowl preparation has been spent on Saban going out a winner and not using it to prepare for next year. Impossible for us to know, but I hope he has spent the last month coaching like he will be here next year. For the benefit of the players, fans, and incoming coaching staff.
