Chapter 9, Verse 11 of the Koran reads like this, from the online version I just looked at (thanks, Google)... [9.11] But if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, they are your brethren in faith; and We make the communications clear for a people who know. I also searched for the word "Eagle" in the text, and got no results. It may not be definitive, but it looks like someone made up a fish story on that one...
Wiat--doesn't the Quran have books like the Bible? So which book is TE's from? I suspect the quote SabanFan gave is an urban legend--Snopes might have something definitive.
