The stars don't always align for everyone. There are 100's of coaches who could have and maybe should have been hired but who weren't. Doesn't mean they sucked and it doesn't mean that everyone who DID get hired found success. Haden didn't hire Oeaux....instead we went with a drunk and look how that turned out. Oeaux never had a legit shot and that's on Haden, not on the Cajun.
He's correct but that still wasn't the deciding factor. It's simple. PC told Haden to hire the drunk. So he did. If Oeaux had ANY small chance, he blew it with the 2 losses he had as interim. One to the irish and a very bad ass whupping from the ruins.
wade will have a hard time converting LSU from baseball back to basketball like in the 80's. Don't think it's gonna happen.
