Unless USC or Texas loses, it's a moot point anyway. I don't think we'll jump Miami, and frankly I don't think we deserve to. Miami nailed V Tech. We've had three overtime games, the only loss coming to currently a 5 loss team. We've played well. But not as consistently as Miami has. I see LSU vs. Miami in the Sugar bowl should we win the SEC. Boy oh boy oh boy. That's gonna be crazy. Two straight games in the Georgia dome. And to think the Sugar Bowl committee was thinking of moving the Sugar Bowl to Tiger Stadium.
I thought it was just the #4 vs. #3 BCS team? Wait. You may be right. We may or may not be ranked that high in the BCS come season's and CCG end. I was just jumping to an excited conclusion. Anybody got any answers?
LSU will narrow the gap in the human polls on Miami. There is no doubt about that. I just wish the Wake Forest game would have at least stayed close, but WF fell apart. LSU will jump Bama and VTech in the BCS after this week, and possibly Penn State, but more than likely not. so LSU 4th in the Harris and USA, 5th in the BCS. LSU win over GA in SEC CG will vault LSU past Penn State in the end, with Penn State not playing that weekend. That leaves only Miami, USC and UT ahead of us.
also, say lsu gets to third before the bowl games, usc just blows out texas or vise versa. does texas maybe drop to third if LSU has a BIG win in the sugar? second and fourth is a big difference... it's all a bunch of big maybes, but all this "ranking doesnt matter if you're not number 1 or 2... I dont buy it.. if it didnt matter they wouldnt rank teams... no reason to not want to be ranked as high as possible.
Let's play what if: Not likely it will happen, but what if: LSU wins out USC loses to UCLA ut loses to Aggies and/or in Big XXII CG Miami wins out ?????
