No, he won't start next year. But if he really has three years of eligibility left, the coaching staff will be grooming him for his junior and senior years...hopefully under a new and better OC.

I think if GC is gone, JLee is the starter next year and lights up the SEC. Having a seasoned and matured QB like Mettenberger waiting in the wings will ensure that we don't have another mess like what happened after Perriwho.

That's Mettenberger's role when (if) he comes here.

Didn't say Miles. As for Crowton, I don't see how it could do anything but help us if we fire him.

ZM just got offers from Bama and Louisville. I think Bama just jumped us for his services. Kid is big time on wanting to be close to home.

So you honestly think that he's going to just voluntarily leave a $3.5M/yr job?

Yeah right. Boy wouldn't that teach everyone that doubted him a lesson.

That's just tremendous. Any middle-school QB recruits we can whiff on now?

If so, what does this mean for us? Isn't Bama's backup to McElroy the heir apparent? I would think that ZM has a better chance to start here sooner than at Bama. Don't know anything about Louisville.
