Why is Florida getting robbed in this scenario?

So far the BCS has been fortunate to LSU and unfair to Auburn. That's 2 for 2 if you ask me.

Yeah but when it happens three weeks in a row, that's usually a good indicator.

I think Florida, assuming they win out, has as much right to play in the NC game as Michigan and USC. But it doesn't look like that is a possibility.

Scheduling D 1-AA schools is just stupid. Doing so gives the voters an excuse to keep you out of the big game. Schedule weak D 1-A teams like Central Michigan and Ball State ... that's who Michigan played, but nobody is ragging them about it.

USC lost to an unranked Oregon State. I have no idea why that is not a factor when comparing all the one-loss teams.

SEC schools need to do a better job of scheduling OOC games.

I agree. The point is USC beat 5 teams that were ranked when they played. How can you denigrate a team just because it wins a game against a good ranked team that struggled in one game or even lost a game? I am not a big USC fan either, but going to the kind of mind games and nonsense evident in the post in question makes no sense. USC is a damn good team, regardless of what speed bumps it opponents ran into.

No USC did not beat 5 teams that were ranked when they played. Arkansas was not ranked when they played USC. And if you're going to count where teams are ranked now, then Oregon is NOW NOT RANKED. USC has only beaten 3 ranked teams this year, not 5. It's funny, you are already counting the Notre Dame game as a win for USC and they haven't even played yet. IF USC beats Notre Dame that will be 4. If you're going to argue about USC's greatness, at least get the facts straight.

Agreed. This is never mentioned....USC lost to a nobody, Florida lost only to a very good Auburn team ranked in the top 15. It is almost like the media....

If anyone can, please educate me. What were the circumstances behind Flordia scheduling Western Carolina? Did a I-A opponent bail on them? Were there no I-As available? How long had the Western Carolina game been on the schedule? Finding 4 I-A opponents is not always an easy thign to do. We have experienced the necessity of it several times, so until I know the circumstances I won't knock UF on that.

Also in normal years UF's sos gets a huge boost from FSU. That won't happen this year, but I'm sure when they made the scedule they were counting on it.

we and the sec teams just need to stop scheduling teams 7-10 years in advance... Sucks for Fla - who woulda thought FSU would be soooo bad this year. Nor did we expect Arizona and Zona St to stunk it up so bad when we scheduled them. USC is just lucky Arky is having a good year and they whoop them so bad in the 1st game of the season...now they're getting all this hype about it - but no media is mentioning the sorry ass team that beats them... I still thinks Fla schedule is stronger than USC and Michigan. (but i'm hoping one of the latters get in so we have a chance at the BCS) Football god - puleeeeeze, give us a playoff.
