He’s been shut down too often IMO. There was a spell when he couldn’t buy a basket; his handles and assist game is strong, though.

Nice comparison, Trae is something else.
    I hope you are right.
Deadly with him dishing off next year.

He's not ready for the NBA game. His best chance will be to develop his body with weight training while showing better consistency offensively.

He reminds me of a very young albeit smaller Chris Paul. Paul was exceptional at Wake and left after his sophomore season. He had WF ranked #1 for the first time ever and led them to two berths in the NCAAs. Chris went fourth overall to New Orleans, but wasn't even the first point guard taken in 2005. Deron Williams went a selection ahead.

There's not much comparison between the two in college yet outside of stats and I think Tre'd be at high risk of getting lost in this draft.

Right now Trae Young is a top 5 pick projected. I wouldn't have Waters as a lock to even be a 1st rounder which are the only contacts that are guaranteed. .

He'll be back for another year or two, imo.

Not ready. He needs a nice tournament run to burnish his chops.

Agree. Only leave early if you're guaranteed first round. I think he'll develop more quickly in college than just being on an NBA team and not getting minutes.

No. He is 5'9, and that is a stretch. Maybe he will grow a few more inches, but outside of that he is not an NBA draft pick. He may one day find himself in the league, but he does not have the measurables to warrant a guaranteed contract.
